It’s an outdoor TV! A TV FOR outdoors.

Some people aren’t even aware it exists. Behold, the outdoor TV: Not just any ol’ indoor TV thrown outside. THAT would be dangerous. But a television designed, engineered and crafted for a permanent home in an outdoor living space – a patio, deck, outside kitchen, pool area. A TV designed to withstand rain, snow, heat, cold, salt air, insects, paint-balls and bears, and still keep its savvy look. A 4-star rating by Gadget Review, included as “Gear to Rule the Tailgate” by Maxim, featured as a “top gadget” on NBC’s Today Show, called “a fantastic add-on to your home entertainment ecosystem” by Home Theater magazine — SunBriteTV outdoor TVs have their fans and kudos. Well-known within the consumer-electronics industry, but little known to the casual consumer, SunBriteTV is now making its mark on home entertainment, home improvement and just plain fun-at-home activities for consumers who were previously unaware that they really CAN have a TV outside – and feel safe about it. Yes, Virginia, there really are TVs imagined, engineered and created for outdoors! Homeowners who venture outside with their inside TVs usually get a surprise if the climate or outdoor conditions change suddenly. Even a quick splash from the neighbors’ sprinkler is enough to zap sensitive indoor TVs. “Most all indoor TVs have slots on top for convection cooling,“ explains Larry Benson, SunBriteTV engineer. “As soon as you get water into it … in the electronics and LCD, it will fail … good night!” To counter indoor TVs’ obvious design challenges, SunBriteTV all-weather, rain-proof TVs are protected within a water-tight, sealed environment, complete with air-flow systems to keep...

Outdoor Living, Outdoor TV Embraced Year-Round

Outdoor Upgrades Part of Homeowners’ 2013 Budget SunBriteTV.com Poll Finds Homeowners Ready to Embrace Outdoor Living and Outdoor TV as Home Improvements Thousand Oaks, CA. Nov. 1, 2012 —  With a carefull eye still on household budget, a majority of homeowners responding to an online poll say they are ready to “release the grip” on some of their dollars to re-invest in their homes next year. “We’re ready,” says Holly Osburn, Orlando, Florida. A couple in their 30’s, Holly and Chet say they cut-back on home upgrades over the past couple of years because of the economy.  “We just felt better saving.  We held back on extras for the house.” But that trend seems to be reversing for homeowners who responded to a poll by outdoor HDTV builder SunBriteTV, LLC.  A whopping 81% say they are planning home improvement projects in 2013. Dee Morrison, a homeowner in Carmel, Indiana explains her strategy, “We did some improvement to an outdoor deck area. It’s turning out to be the living space we use most – even now, as the weather cools down. We’ve decided to improve it more. We’re adding an outdoor kitchen and an outdoor TV. The Morrison family isn’t alone.  According to the poll, other homeowners have outdoor TVs on their to-get lists: 45% say they’d put an outdoor HDTV on their deck as an upgrade. 18% say they’d place an outside TV next to their BBQ, bar or outdoor kitchen. 9% say “the patio.” 9% say “the pool.” 18% are unsure, but say “I’ll find a place.” And, as with the Morrison family, 80% of those polled say...

OUTDOOR TV THRIVES AT ELECTRONICS CONFERENCE You may have seen SunBriteTV in the news over the past few weeks. Earlier this month, we attended CEDIA-2012 in Indianapolis, IN — a gathering of consumer electronics’ finest minds and products. Our waterfall, water-proof TV display & SunBrite bar attracted a lot of attention (wonder why?). During the CEDIA conference, two SunBriteTV products were presented with top awards, including: Our 65” LED outdoor HDTV (6560HD) won Residential Systems magazine’s Residential Systems Award for Best AV Player/Server.  Our Marquee Series, DS-4707ESTL, 47” Landscape Digital Signage – or ultimate outdoor TV – won an Ex!te Award for top product from CustomRetailer. Kudos to the SunBriteTV design and engineering teams for their brilliant product work. SUNBRITETV IN THE NEWS NBC’s Today Show declared SunBriteTV a top gadget for football tailgaters! On live TV, Sept. 21, Digital Lifestyle Expert Mario Armstrong put a 32″ HDTV to the test by pouring water over the running TV. See the Today Show video segment here (SunBriteTV is about 2:37 in).  We’ve also posted some behind-the-scenes pics from our Today Show appearance on our Facebook page. Maxim online listed SunBriteTV as a “gear to have” for the tailgate party.  No serious football fan would be without a rugged, outdoor TV to watch from the party parking lot. Marquee Series – Outdoor Digital Signage Winner!

Marquee Series – Outdoor Digital Signage Winner!

If you’re not familiar with the CEDIA Expo – here’s a bit about it courtesy WikiPedia: The Custom Electronic Design and Installation Association (CEDIA) is a global trade association of companies involved in the electronic systems industry. Members specialize in home automation, networking, communication, and entertainment systems. CEDIA Expo 2012 takes place in Indianapolis, IN and runs September 5 – 8.  We are prepped and ready to be there! This year, SunBriteTV’s Marquee Series digital signage & digital display solution – model DS-4707ESTL – is scheduled to receive an Exc!te Award for top product from CustomRetailer. What makes the Marquee digital display so special? “The high bright, high temperature panel is direct sunlight readable at a very reasonable price,” so says SunBriteTV’s Commercial Sales Representative Jon Cormican. The Marquee Series’ EST (Enhanced Solar Tolerance) technology is what allows the flexibility to beat the “isotropic problem” of “going dark.” Instead, our Marquee Series withstands direct sunlight, enabling a bright, clear picture that can display menus, signage, information and video under extreme outdoor heat and sun conditions.  The Marquee Series can also perform as the ultimate outdoor TV for any deck, patio or outdoor space.  Adds Jon, ”The Marquee Series is for anyone who needs to see an image in direct sunlight as well as other environmental issues.  Not just signage, but restaurant/bar patios, wayfinding … and certainly as a TV.” For business, or personal use, the Marquee Series fits a variety of roles. Interested in discovering more? Send Jon an email:  jcormican@sunbritetv.com … or stop by CEDIA, booth #3111 to visit with SunBriteTV. We look forward to meeting...
Signature, PRO, Marquee Series – The Differences

Signature, PRO, Marquee Series – The Differences

Overview of SunBriteTVs – Outdoor TV SunBriteTV now has three lines of all-weather outdoor televisions: Signature, PRO, and Marquee Series. So what’s the difference between them? Here’s a quick overview: Signature Series Take all of the great weather proof abilities of the old SunBrite—resistance to rain, snow, humidity, salt air, dust, insects, extreme heat and cold, water proof cable entry door, internal cooling fans and so on. Trade out the power coated aluminum bezels (a fancy word for outer casings) for ASA rated resin bezels, and eliminate the front protective glass, and—voila—you’ve got a killer line of outdoor TVs that are 40% lower in price than the original. To wrap-up, the Signature Series TVs… have an ASA-rated Resin exterior. have no glass in front of the LCD panel. can operate at temperatures down to -24 degrees F. the 65″ LED model has a powder-coated aluminum exterior and detachable speaker. tech & engineering updates create a 40% lower price. models available in black, silver or white. available in 32″, 46″, 55″, 65″. See all SunBriteTV models here. PRO Series This is the original recipe SunBriteTV. Your bump-up from the Signature Models: powder-coated aluminum bezels versus resin bezels, front protective tempered glass, and built-in heaters that allow these puppies to operate down to -40 degrees F. The PRO sets are industrial strength and built like a tank. During a recent product review, a PRO Series 4610HD was shot with paintball guns, abused by a bear, set on fire 4 times, and shot (from the rear) with a 9mm pistol—and STILL WORKED. Perfect for commercial applications or families that have really wild...
